Holidays. woohoo... -__-

holidays are here, and i've nothing better to do, so excuse the lack of enthusiasm. That said, i was actually bored enough to decide to ruin this blog, by actually talking about something. anything.

movies. what news have we in movies? there are two that pop into mind (because of giant posters at a certain mall), the new 007 movie, "Quantum of Solace", and "Twilight". so let's start there. I've not much to say about 007, except that i'm quite looking forward to it. Just like the previous one tackled issues of terrorism, this one is said to revolve around environmentalism. if i'm not mistaken, that is.\

Twilight. i'm not a fan of the series yet (someone please get me an english copy), but i've heard a lot of good things about it. definitely looking forward to reading it. but my experience with book-to-novel adaptations haven't been very pleasant, so i think i'll go for the movie first.

Speaking of which, what is it with studios these days? Adapting stuff so soon after they're published? Or is it just that i'm behind on the news? Honestly, i don't think three years is enough time to come up with a good enough adaptation, but then again, call me a pessimist. I mean, look at the Harry Potter movies. Not that they were (all) bad.. as a single movie series they work quite well, i suppose, but they could've been better. There are so many things that end up being dropped from the movie, that it's barely an adaptation.
I mean, why not wait until at least the whole things finished? then you could wrap the thing up properly, give the fans what they deserve. And mind you, Harry Potter isn't the only one. There are many other book-to-screen adaptations that were disappointing, like Eragon. The others are mostly local movies, so i won't even bother mentioning them.

I've suddenly and utterly run out of things to talk about, so that's it for now.

Jujur aja sih, gw rasa sebagian besar (klo nggak semua) yg nontonin lebih inget ngebandnya daripada kampanye programnya. haha

haha. hal lucu terjadi kemarin ketika persiapan acara ultahnya mey (which was excellent, btw).. dimulai dari yg gak terlalu lucu. siang2 setelah ambil rapor (satu band naek smua loh) kita memutuskan ke rmh adi utk nongkrong, istirahat, maen2, skalian nunggu toh acaranya sore-mlm baru mulai. nyampe rmh adi, nelpon hipo suru dateng. pake hapenya addoi, berhubung pulsanya lagi surplus.

doi: halo? hipo?
hip: .... (gak kedengeran, paling "knp doi" ato semacemnya)
doi: hip, lu bisa dateng ke sini?
hip: hah? sekarang?
doi: i...ya.. sekarang. (uda pasrah, hape dikasi ke ferry)

haha. hal konyol laennya, sembari menanti kedatangan vokalis kami nan 'lucu' (baca: geje), nongkronglah kami di kamar addoi. gw maen the sims, ferry ama addi maen rubik's cube, atenk.. tidur. trus gw inget klo ntar pegi pake mobil gw, jadinya gw telp spupu/sopir pribadi/sopir band/juru angkut tercinta, lia. yang ternyata dateng gak lama kemudian, tanpa kami sadari. gw addi dan ferry keluar k balkon, manggilin si lia suru naek. trus gw dan adi mengunci ferry di balkon.

fer: di.. addi, ntar gw nangis loh
doi: bagus.
zra: blm perna liat tuh.
trus si adi keluar kamar, menjemput si lia. dan gw membukakan pintu bwt perry, dan menyuruhnya ngumpet di kolong tempat tidur. kembalilah adi.

doi: fery ud lu bukain blm zra?
zra: blom. ngapain jg? *lanjut maen the sims*
doi: bagus. kekekekek *nutup tirai, yg kebetulan pas disamping tempat tidurnya, dan keliatan balkonnya*
doi: loh mana feri? gak kliatan
fer: *megangin kaki adi dari kolong tempat tidur* WUAAAA!
doi: *jatoh terduduk k tpt tidurnya* sumpah ni anak. gw injek2 lu. hiyaaat!!
tenk: *terbangun* loh, fery mana?
zra: masih kekonci di luar
tenk: perasaan gw denger suaranya ferry, tp kq ga ada? (maklum lah, baru bangun tidur jd rada lemot [lebih dari biasanya])
zra: di luar kok. noh liat aja sendiri *buka pintu balkon* noh ada di balik meja (ada meja ato semacemnya di balkon, bisa bwt orang ngumpet)
tenk: mana, gak ada. *masuk lagi*
fer: *muncul dari kolong* halooo..
tenk: walah?

haha. gak terlalu lucu. yg lebih lucu lagi di post berikutnya. ato mungkin post ini diedit ama hipo. entahlah. huahaha. jgn lupa upload fotonya ya hip.

tests are over. lol. they've been over for almost a week now, but school saw fit to give all of us more nonsensical stuff to do. argh.
*shrugs* ah well. that's life for ya.

Tests! Oh noes! >_<

Yep. that's right. tests are coming up. which means our already-limited practice time will become even more so. Hopefully we can make up for it the following week, by practicing everyday. Yep, that's right. Every. Single. F**king. Day.

In other news, we sort of tried our hands in playing at parties yesterday, at the birthday party of our good friends the twins. Interesting, fun, and it showed us that we need to work on more songs.

Update. For lack of a better title.

It's me again, with more random news on the band. For those of you who haven't noticed yet, all my posts will be in English.

First off, we've got two new songs in the making. Working titles are "Lagu ceria" and "Do You Love Me?"
"Lagu Ceria", obviously, is a cheerful, upbeat song with a strong rythm section. Still in its early stages, though.. dunno when it'll be done. For the time being, at least, I wash my hands of this song's composition.

"Do you love me?" is a slow, mellow, perhaps even melancholic song. Piano is the key for this one. I've been literally pulling my hair off thinking of the composition for it. Those of you who like J-Music might notice similarities between this song and Aqua Timez's "Chiisana Tenohira". I guess that's my fault for being an Aqua Timez fan. Wish I could get my hands on their albums, though.
For those of you who haven't heard this song (which is maybe most of you), we'll be playing it live for the first time at Mey's birthday party later in June. (Don't forget to come, everyone! XD)
As usual, credits for both songs go to van for lyrics and music, with composition by derSchwartz.

As I mentioned earlier, composition for "Do you love me" has taken a lot out of me. We seem to be getting little if any progress during practice sessions, so on my insistence (how selfish of me) we're gonna hang out sometime during the holidays. No practice, just hanging out, talking, eating, maybe catch a movie or two. Hopefully we can get to songwriting, but strengthening bonds (for want of a better term) is more important right now. XD

Oh, and don't forget to keep posting those requests! XD

lalu gw liat conversation yang tanpa gw. ternyata adi ejra invite gw ke conv. mrk. tadinya adi bercerita dia ikutan bikin blog. tapi yang gw dapati adalah blog nya DS. yay! DS punya blog yay yay! (udah lupa sama blog adi)

lalu gw buka linknya dan..
mendapati satu post tunggal dari ejra.
